International Knight Tournament Warrior— 2020

If you are still waiting for the brave knight on a white horse, well, there are plenty of them, so that it is difficult to choose! International Knight Tournament dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day is arranged on the 23d of February in Moscow. This is a great holiday for a family, a noisy company, a couple in love and anyone who appreciates a truly unforgettable show! The main battle of the tournament is the evening program of fights – 7 first-class battles, 3 champion belts and 14 heroes, each with its own unique story.

The Victory Museum

The Victory Museum is the largest museum of military history in the Russian Federation. It has the biggest collection of World War II military equipment in Europe, impressive 3D installations and panoramas as well as a unique series of six dioramas depicting the war. On February 23 the museum provides free guided tours of the “Army Feat” exhibition. Moreover, everyone from 10AM to 6PM will be able to find out the history of the creation of the legendary Kalashnikov assault rifle, try to disassemble and assemble it. Also, the laser shooting range will work for free throughout the day.

Are you ready to become a real soldier? Try yourself at hand grenade throwing, plastuning, bayonet fighting, assembling and disassembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, transporting a wounded man and shooting exercises! You are not some kind of weakling! An interactive cultural and educational program dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day will be held on February 22 at the Museum of the History of the T-34 Tank. Win the quest game and get the opportunity to shoot blank rounds from a pistol, rifle or machine gun. If it is not enough for you then try to drive a tank, brave!

Miles Oldridge “A Taste Of Color”

The Lumiere Brothers Photography Center presents the first Russian exhibition of British fashion photographer Miles Aldridge, where will be featured more than forty of the author’s most recognizable works. Miles Aldridge, the king of a color, is a favorite author and a cover artist for such magazines as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, GQ, Vanity Fair, Numéro, The New York Times and The New Yorker. Get inspired by the women the photographer has depicted, feel their strength, beauty and sexuality and, finally, solve the creative mystery of the pictures!

Independent Coffee Festival

This one is for coffee lovers! 6 Moscow cafes came up with an idea of their own independent coffee festival. During the festival each café gives an opportunity to try out a set of 3 different drinks – espresso, cappuccino and one signature drink. Each set will be 300RUB. You will be able to try coffee from different parts of the world, like Columbia and Costa-Rica. The festival will last till the end of February. A play “King Lear”

King Lear is a play written by William Shakespeare. For those who read it will be a great opportunity to refresh the memory and get a glimpse at perhaps a new interpretation of a classical piece. The movie tells a story of a forbidden affair between an aristocrat and a painter who was assigned to paint her portrait. The film won two awards at Cannes and was also nominated for Critics’ Choice Awards and Golden Globes Award. It is a very promising movie that is worth watching.

Would not be the Defender of the Fatherland Day without fireworks! Colorful fireworks will fill the sky of the capital on the 23 February on Poklonnaya Gora and the Victory Park. The show starts at 9PM and lasts 10 minutes. Do not miss this large spectacle! Moreover, it is absolutely free!
